Support
Where to find help when things aren't going right.
Get in touch
For anything at all: a question, something that looks wrong, an idea, or help with your subscription. If you can, say which device you were on and what you tapped just before. A screenshot helps more than a paragraph.
For questions about your family's information, or to have your household deleted, use privacy@familyhomehub.au. The privacy page explains what we hold and why.
You can also send feedback from inside the Hub: Parent mode โ Account โ Feedback. It arrives with the technical details attached, so it is often the fastest way to report a fault.
Quick fixes
The snags people hit most, and the tap that fixes each one.
Put the Hub on your home screen like an app
Android: open the Hub in Chrome, tap the three dots menu at the top right, then Install app. If the Hub's own Install button ever does nothing, Chrome has simply timed it out; the menu route always works.
iPhone and iPad: open the Hub in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. Notifications on Apple devices only work from the home screen version.
My Google calendar is connected but nothing shows
Google's permission screen has two tick boxes for the calendar, and it lets you press Continue with one or both empty. If that happened, the Hub says so with an amber button. Go to Parent mode โ Home โ Household, tap Reconnect next to Google, and on Google's screen tick both calendar boxes before Continue. Your calendar fills in within a minute.
The calendar says it needs a reconnect
The link to your Google account has expired. Tap the amber Reconnect button on the calendar, or go to Parent mode โ Home โ Household, pick the same Google account, and you are done in about ten seconds. Nothing is lost.
Notifications are not arriving on my phone
- On that phone, go to Parent mode โ Home โ Notifications and tap Enable on this device. Each phone opts in separately; the wall tablet is best left out.
- Android: in your phone's Settings โ Apps โ Chrome โ Battery, choose Unrestricted, and the same for Home Hub if it is installed as an app. Without it, Android can hold notifications back for hours.
- iPhone: notifications only work once the Hub is on your home screen (see the first fix above).
- Paid, but lost the setup code? It's on the thank-you page and in the welcome email from us. Lost both? Get it back at familyhomehub.au/code with the email you paid with and the invoice number from your receipt email.
Let my partner in
Parent mode โ Home โ Household shows a QR code. They point their phone camera at it, sign in with Google, and they are in, seeing everything you see. There is a link to send by message as well. Invites work once and expire after a week, so make a fresh one if it has been sitting around.
I paid but I am stuck at the setup code
The thank-you page after payment shows your setup code, and it is also in the email from us. Open the Hub, sign in with Google, and enter the code once. If you cannot find it, email hello@familyhomehub.au from the address you paid with and we will send it straight back.
A kid's device is stuck locked
Hub Lock locks an Android device when earned tech time is not running, which is the whole point, but sometimes a parent needs it open now.
- On the device itself, the lock screen has a parent PIN option that unlocks it for five minutes. The Hub tells you when it has been used.
- To unlock every device at once, go to Parent mode โ Home โ Device lock and pause the locks. Remember to turn them back on.
- Clocking the kid in on the Hub also unlocks the device, as long as their bank has minutes in it and their tech time is not on hold.
Hub Lock itself is Android only, installed from the Play Store with the tester link we send you.
Change plan, update the card, or cancel
Parent mode โ Account โ Manage billing opens your billing page, where you can update the card and see your invoices. To cancel, email hello@familyhomehub.au and it is done the same day, no questions. Cancel inside your first 14 days and you are never charged.
If a subscription ends, the Hub becomes read-only. Photos, trophies and history stay visible, nothing is deleted, and everything wakes back up if you return.
The wall tablet went blank, or showed something odd
Pull down to refresh, or close the Hub and open it again. If the same thing happens twice, send feedback from Parent mode โ Account โ Feedback and tell us what was on screen at the time. Faults like that report themselves to us with the details, but your note tells us what you were trying to do.
Everything else
The full manual lives inside the app, where it can point at the exact screen: Parent mode โ Account โ Help & manual. It is searchable and covers every part of the Hub, from routines and pocket money to the clock screen and Hub Lock.
The questions people ask before they start are on the front page.
Nothing here fixed it? Email hello@familyhomehub.au. Include your Hub's name and what you were doing, and we will sort it with you.
